Important: Inspection Requirement
Due to the size and weight of fencing systems, all shipments must be inspected upon arrival. Any damage or missing items must be noted on the driver's Proof of Delivery (POD) slip and reported to claims@canabound.ca within 48 hours.
1. Shipping Methods
CanaBound offers various shipping methods to accommodate different order sizes and delivery requirements:
LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)
Standard for residential orders and smaller professional orders. Materials are palletized and shipped via commercial freight carriers. This method typically includes liftgate service for curbside delivery.
FTL (Full-Truckload)
Reserved for major projects or high-volume inventory orders. FTL shipments provide a direct route from our facilities to your site, minimizing material handling. Appropriate offloading equipment must be present on site.
2. Delivery Locations and Services
Residential Curbside Delivery
Standard residential delivery is strictly performed at the curbside. The carrier will drop the pallet(s) at the edge of your driveway or the closest point accessible by a freight transport truck.
Backyard Delivery Service
While curbside drop-off is our standard, backyard delivery can be arranged for an additional service fee. This premium delivery service must be explicitly requested at the time of order placement.
Commercial and Job Site Deliveries
Contractors must ensure the site is fully accessible for a 53-foot transport trailer. If a site is deemed inaccessible by the carrier, the client may be held responsible for any re-delivery fees incurred.
3. Shipping Rates
Shipping fees are calculated dynamically based on total shipment weight, pallet count, and final destination. Deliveries to remote or rural regions may incur additional logistical surcharges.
4. Estimated Delivery Windows
- Processing: In-stock materials are typically prepared and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days.
- Transit: Once shipped, freight transit times generally vary from 2 to 10 business days across Canada.
5. Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing the assigned freight carrier details and a tracking number.
6. Returns and Refused Shipments
Refusing a shipment without prior authorization makes the customer liable for all associated return freight charges. If transit damage is visible, please accept the delivery but clearly note the damage on the POD slip before the driver leaves the site.
